Franciscan Monastery and Prenoviciát in Głogówek - “Sv. Frantisek” of Asisi Monastery
An order of Conventuals is the order established by Sv. Frantisek of Asisi under the name “Mensi bratri”. To this name, the “conventuals” was added. The order members use the name “Mensi bratri conventuals”, in Poland known as “Franciscans”.
Our order, from the will of its father Frantisek, from the very beginning of the foundation, is the real brotherhood community, because their members - as brothers - form families, participate in the life and the activities of the community. All members have the same rights and duties, except those, which comes from the ordination, because the Church places our order to the cleric institutions.
It was Sv. Frantisek´s wish - his students to learn that they come to school of submissive Christ to learn the humility. The connection of the brothers in the brotherhood community can help to strengthen the worship, more decent life, prayer reciting, better preparation of candidates for theology education or other apostle work, which the Church uses to spread the Church kingdom under the special care of Mary Virgin all over the Church.
